Webinar: What is Comprehensive Data Governance and Why Should You Care? An Introduction to the first Metric of Comprehensive Data Governance
When the webinar take place?
Tuesday, October 12, 2021
From 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
Human beings have been collecting, producing, and governing various types of data for centuries. However, with the advent of the Internet and data analysis methods such as artificial intelligence, digital data has become essential. Meanwhile, the volume, variety, and speed of transmission of data have increased dramatically, making data governance more complex and challenging. Yet we don’t know what comprehensive data governance looks like.
The Digital Trade and Data Governance Hub has produced the first metric to assess what countries are doing to govern data at the national and international levels. The hub has examined visions and strategies, laws and regulations, human rights and ethical commitments, structural changes, public participation, and international actions to govern data. Join the webinar to learn the metric and describe how researchers can use it.
