Public interest technology career fairs build connections between universities, developing civic-minded technologists, and employers in industry, government, and civil society. PIT Career Fairs run seasonally, with a new round beginning in fall 2025 and continuing into spring 2026.

September 15-19, 2025 | New York

Hunter College’s Career Week (September 15–19, 2025) will feature four to five days of student-centered programming focused on career readiness, with a special focus on elevating career pathways in public interest technology. As part of the week, the Career Center will host a PIT Career Panel and a large-scale Career & Internship Fair, both designed to foster direct connections between students and employers applying technology in the service of social good.

The School of Information is opening its Career Fair to all colleges on the UT Austin campus. It is exciting to partner with Dell Technologies and TEX-E (Texas Exchange for Energy & Climate Entrepreneurship) to host prep sessions the week before the Career Fair. Additionally, since the School of Information recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, the team is focusing extra attention on our newest Informatics student population to promote Capstone professional experience projects and internship opportunities.

Missouri S&T has 52 PIT-UN employer connections to invite to the Spring 2026 Career Fair. These companies will be highlighted with signage promoting PIT-related opportunities. We anticipate strong participation, with as many as 29 PIT-UN companies expected to register for the fair. To further support student engagement in PIT, Career Opportunities and Employer Relations (COER) will host a PIT Q&A Panel and Pizza Event, featuring employers from PIT.

Multiple Events Starting October 21, 2025 | Columbus

OSU’s Public Interest Technology Career Hub (PITCH) will feature monthly events with PIT employers, including Community Conversations, exclusive Meet-and-Greets, professional skill workshops, and guest speakers integrated into public affairs courses. These activities will provide students with sustained exposure to PIT career pathways and offer employers from industry, nonprofit, and government organizations multiple low-barrier opportunities to engage with students throughout the academic year.
